UK Roundtable Event, Westminster
4 Dec 2024
Last week, Huntsman Polyurethanes Division President, Tony Hankins, and Huntsman Building Solutions President, Doug Brady, hosted a roundtable breakfast at Westminster, bringing together UK Members of Parliament, Labour Party advisors, representatives from the Department for Business and Trade, and other key stakeholders.
The event focused on the critical role of insulation in reducing energy consumption and advancing the UK’s journey toward net zero. A significant part of the discussions involved educating attendees on the benefits and applications of spray foam insulation, addressing common misconceptions, and highlighting its vital role in creating energy-efficient, sustainable homes.
Collaboration is essential to unlock the full potential of proposed government schemes aimed at retrofitting properties to deliver comfort, reduce energy bills, and lower carbon emissions. While in London, Tony and Doug also engaged with advisors to the Prime Minister at Downing Street and Members of Parliament eager to work with us on these initiatives.
Building relationships with key government stakeholders is at the core of our mission to ensure consumers have accurate information and access to the resources needed to insulate their homes. By working together, we can drive impactful change and accelerate the UK’s progress toward a sustainable future.
